Client: Mountain Comprehensive Care
Mindfulness in Motion. A consulting and training project in collaboration with Cindy Reed, LCSW, RYT. Providing training and resources to MGC staff to facilitate the use of mindfulness in the Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program serving Clark County (KY) children identified as exhibiting moderate to severe mental health issues, such as ADHD, PTSD, anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and others. The Be Project. PreK and elementary subject matter expert in the development of a mindfulness initiative within the Clark County (KY) school district. Contributions include co-writing the mindfulness curriculum for educators PreK – high school, mentoring educators in their understanding of the science of mindfulness and development of personal practice, and working directly with PreK and elementary students. (2016-2017)

Early Literacy Centers Translation: Translation from English to Spanish of parent activities that accompany ten early literacy centers created by the Library of Virginia. (2015)
Day by Day VA: A Website Translation and Localization Project: Development of a Spanish version of the Library of Virginia’s online family literacy calendar Day by Day VA. This project included translating all English content to Spanish; locating high-quality books, videos and websites to replace current English content; and updating all changes in monthly XML files. (2013 – 2015)

Healthy Feelings and Relationships Tip Sheets: Development in collaboration with experts from the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) of tip sheets for educators and parents of elementary school children. These tip sheets, which accompany books available through the First Book marketplace, present discussion topics and activities designed to aid in the development of social-emotional skills. (2016-2017)
English Language Learner Tip Sheets: Development of tip sheets for educators working with English Language Learners to use in conjunction with five books from First Book’s Latino Interest books. (2015)
Latino Children’s Literature Tip Sheets: Development of tip sheets for educators and parents to use in conjunction with ten books from First Book’s Latino Culture and Heritage Collection for Elementary School book collection. (2014)
Client: Hamilton East Public Library
Strategic Planning: In partnership with Senior Consultant Libby Alexander of Saturn Consulting. This accelerated strategic planning project utilized creative staff engagement to shift the internal culture from being internally focused to being community driven, while simultaneously establishing the organization’s mission, vision and principles. Cuéntame un cuento!: Latino Cultural Inclusion in Juvenile Collections: This webinar introduces participants to resources useful for increasing the inclusion of high-quality materials that positively present Latino culture in their juvenile collections. Important authors/illustrators, publishers, and review sources are shared, as well as examples of excellent books by and about Latinos. (2013)
